The Rogue Resiliency Fund offers investors a diversified portfolio of opportunities within Southwestern Oregon. The Fund will target strategic opportunities and fund local entrepreneurs and projects that aim to offer both current income and long-term capital gains, as well as applicable tax benefits for accredited investors.
Goals & Purposes
- To aggregate and re-localize capital from local investors
- To create jobs, build responsible entrepreneurial capacity, and grow local wealth
- To support the growth and development of businesses responsive to our local communities in strategically targeted sectors of the region’s economy.
These include:
- food production,
- processing and distribution,
- secondary wood products and other small-scale manufacturing,
- alternative solutions to healthcare services, and
- locally centric financial services.
The Fund will fund selected companies via direct equity, convertible and/or secured debt; and provide technical assistance to partnership businesses when warranted.
Initial Business Objectives
- To secure $500,000 startup capital from a minimum of fifteen investors by July 31, 2011
- To increase Fund assets to $2.5 million by December 2012
Social Objectives
- To catalyze 25% economic self-sufficiency in Rogue Valley by December 2013
- To catalyze more than 95% employment in the Rogue Valley by December 2014
